Two megatrends are currently influencing media development – the construction of fiber optic networks and the construction of 5G infrastructures.

We are the first independent tower company which assist housing companies & associations to market their roofs and buildings fairly and also support mobile operators in providing fiber-optic networks and building basic towers for faster implementation of their 5G offerings.

What is 5G?

Communication standard instead of mobile radio standard

  • The digital linking of people and machines is developing so rapidly that powerful networks and a corresponding infrastructure are required.
  • Growing volumes of data must be transported over networks that are continually increasing in their transmission speed.
  • In the future, 5G networks will be the basis for a large number of usages, which in the broadest sense, are primarily concerned with data communication.

What does 5G offer?

5G provides the basis for several basic services

In the development of 5G, the premise was to focus on aspects where 4G/LTE has deficits:

  • Services with particularly high data transmission rates (e.g. video streaming, augmented reality or virtual reality applications). These are referred to as “Enhanced Mobile Broadband” (eMBB).
  • Strong networking in the industrial sector “Industry 4.0” and “Internet of Things” (IoT). The transmission of data from various home sensors – electricity, water, smoke detectors, security monitoring, temperature, etc. – requires a high level of security. Small amounts of data but millions of devices can be summarized as “Massive Machine Type Communication” (mMTC).
  • Fields of application where best connection quality, stability and availability (Quality of Service) are absolutely necessary, as in planned vehicle-to-vehicle communication, robotics, monitoring of vital data and other applications of tactile networks. The focus is usually on real-time data transmission rather than the transmission of enormous amounts of data. This is called “Ultra-Reliable and Low-Latency Communication” (URLLC).

5G connections are only possible if a base station is connected to a fiber optic network.

The 5G base stations must also be closer to the subscribers than in the past.

Our services

5G connections can only be operated in a future-proof manner if the antenna locations (whether macro or micro cells) are connected to a fiber optic network. The number of 5G base stations must be increased in order to increase the subscriber density.

The rental of a roof or building areas and municipal locations is handled by glaas5 at fair conditions, the building of a 5G tower and the preparation of the necessary fiber optical connection for “turnkey” rental by mobile phone providers.
